The Greater Derry Area Trunk-or-Treat is an event where people in the community come to decorate the trunks of their vehicles and hand out candy or prizes to trick-or-treaters.
Trunk-or-Treats are great because they’re typically held at a safe location where children and their families can either decorate a vehicle, trick-or-treat, or both, in a fun and traffic-free environment.
Because everything is closer together, other activities can be offered at the same location. Every year we strive to bring something new and memorable. This year we will have face painting, an interactive show, food, a photo booth and much more – all thanks to our fantastic community sponsors and volunteers. Trunk-or-Treats are perfect community-building events. And ours has togetherness and community at its core.
Best of all – this is a FREE event that is helping a great cause! This year, we will not only be giving out candy but are asking if people can please bring non-perishable food items to help stock the Journey Church Food Pantry.
