Election Day Traffic PSA: Plan Ahead for Smooth Voting!
This message brought to you by the Town of Derry, Derry Police Department, and Derry Community Access Media (DerryCAM)
As Election Day approaches, we want to ensure that all voters have a smooth and safe experience at the polls. In anticipation of increased traffic, a Public Service Announcement (PSA) has been released to notify residents about temporary traffic changes around Pinkerton Academy on November 5th.
To accommodate voters, local authorities have worked closely with election officials to modify traffic patterns near North Main St and surrounding streets. These changes will help manage the expected increase in vehicles, improve traffic flow, and ensure safety for everyone arriving to cast their votes.
Here’s what you need to know:
- New traffic patterns will be in place from 7am to 8pm.
- North Main Street in front of Pinkerton Academy Hackler Gym will be closed to all Non-Voter Traffic
- Handicap-accessible parking and entrances are available for those in need of special accommodations.
- Law enforcement officers will be on-site to assist with directing traffic and ensuring a smooth voting experience.
We encourage all voters to plan ahead, allow extra time for parking, and follow the directions of traffic officers on Election Day. Let’s make this election a success by ensuring everyone can get to the polls without unnecessary delays.
